The most common place for a cable to malfunction is where the wire meets the connector base. In a conventional design the wire is flexed back and forth at a sharper angle; as seen in picture 2. The advantage to Audio Envy is in the engineered strain relief, creating a smooth angle. This prolongs wire life and performance quality #1.
